With a broad background in music, Marteinn Sindri delivers rich lyrics through tightly knit folk
and pop oriented compositions. Having trained in philosophy and as a classical pianist, well
versed both in jazz music and pop, he prepares his first full length album Atlas, due for release in
2018.
The forthcoming album Atlas features a breadth of musical influences and affiliations invested in
Marteinn’s songwriting, elaborated in creative collaboration with a range of outstanding
instrumentalists and musicians. The compositions are minimal and magical, impressionistic
almost, conjuring fleeting images of a natural world wrought with myth and memory.
The first single from the album,Spring Comes Late Sometimes, was released in 2017 and the second
single Take Me Down will be released in Fall 2018. Marteinn lives with his family in Iceland.
